Freshman Welcome

Freshman Orientation, featuring team-building activities to welcome new students and help them adjust to EBAPE.

Abstract

  • Programming without forced exposure or embarrassment
  • Team-building activities led by the executive board
  • The new class's first official meeting with the DAA

The DAA's freshman orientation is designed to be welcoming, not intimidating. The entire program is organized by the executive board and includes team-building activities that bring the new students closer to the upperclassmen starting in the first week.

There is no forced exposure or hazing in the traditional sense. The focus is on group dynamics, introducing the school from the perspective of current students, and building bonds among the incoming class.

It's the freshman's first official contact with the Student Council, and it also serves as a gateway to learning about the DAA's other activities, such as the Buddy Program and Freshman Orientation.
